Mum and Dad coming over for lunch tomorrow

Any ideas what I should do??

I only have a tiny flat and am at work most of the time so they dont come over very often. I am now on maternity leave and this will prob be our last meal together before baby arrives so I would like to do something a bit more special.

oh sounds perfect for me I love salmon but my mum doesnt do hot AT ALL. They are quite traditional in the stuff they like where as I am a bit more laid back - hence me struggling for ideas!

if they're like my PILs i just go to m&s get a posh pork pie, a selection of sliced meats or chicken drumsticks, some salad bits, and some home bake bread rolls. they are very happy with that. pudding is normally an apple sponge or fruit tarts. they turn their nose up at anything fancy like...humous.

Both really good ideas - I knew coming on here would help. M&S trip or roast chicken hmmm my mouth is watering!!!
