I think I've done them pretty late in the eve: what do you mean "things not available that late"? I'm sure they will have packed the order earlier in the day. Or am I being dim?

andiem · 27/04/2009 14:50

when you do the order it will tell you if stuff is out of stock or not
have never done a late night one as am in bed but ime they rarely substitute and you can see once the order is pending if anything has been substituted

mrsbabookaloo · 27/04/2009 15:04

Yes, I find that Ocado rarely substitute.

bamboostalks · 27/04/2009 15:06

Never a problem for me, often have late deliveries.

MadameCastafiore · 27/04/2009 15:07

They don;t pack your things in tot he van late at night it is done much earlier in the day so you will have no more substitutions that you would if you had an earlier time slot.

I have used the late ones a lot and it is no difference - the man will often call and come a lot earlier though.

We have done 9:30 to 10:30pm with Ocado a couple of times.

Never yet had any substituates or missing items with Ocado.

mistlethrush · 27/04/2009 15:13

Yes had late deliveries - rarely anything missing, and yes, often delivered earlier if you're OK (they phone to find out if its convenient )

works fine for me. i don't think things are any more likely to be out of stock than during the day time. ocado is pretty good on all fronts in my experience. and i like hte nighttime spots because they are cheaper/free!

ILoveOurNanny · 27/04/2009 16:35

They will also text you a few hours beforehand to say if there are any substitutions. Rarely happens, in my experience.

jenk1 · 27/04/2009 16:36

thanks for the replies,i shall go ahead and book the free delivery.
