hi there
was hoping to get some help, never posted on here before - usually stick to special needs.

DS5 is intolerant to wheat/gluten, egg, dairy, soy and a couple of others - but he has some formula babymilk, was really hoping to make some yoghurt/ice cream from it. Can it be done? whats the bacteria that turns milk to yoghurt, and can it be bought NOT in a milk source?

any advice greatfully received. thanks XXX

I give my dd sorbet instead of ice cream.

Some good info here and recipes if you go down the page a bit.

If you buy it then just double check as sometimes egg white is added!

are you def after yoghurt?

because ice ceam would be easier to make, surely?

the Oatly (yes I know, not gf, but we use it for dh & I as dh is dairy intolerant) has a few recipes for ice cream which are non dairy based - I'd give ti a try subs the oatly with the formula you have?

unfortunately we have done sorbet and jelly to death and he wont touch them with a barge pole now - just wants his brothers ice cream instead, can hardly blame him!

tried him with a tad of oatly, didnt have a massive effect - but he only had like a teaspoon of it, made some rice pudding with it and he didnt like rice pudding.

oooh actually just asked DH if he made his nighttime milkshake with it last night - he did and we've had no sickness/explosive bums yet...
