COMEOVENEER or anyone who might be able to help with my cake icing question...

How do you make pale pink butter icing?
Every time I try it turns out orange, presumably because even the palest unsalted butter I can find is still a little bit yellow.
Any tips?
Thanks!

Ah well, will try beating the butter harder. I read somewhere it might go whiter?

Some of the french butters on the market are white.

Don't have a clue just bumping for you

have you got a kitchen aid I make mine in there with milk and the paddle beater and it does go very white if you beat it for a minimum of 5 mins would then go pink if you added the colouring

I think the trick is going to be to beat it lots. I used to have a Kenwood Chef until my brother claimed it back! Same idea as the kitchen aid.
Will report back, thanks ladies!
