I opened and drained a tin of tuna in brine on Tuesday. the half I didn't use has been in the fridge in a tupperware pot, so can I still use it today? It smells ok..

Will be fine to eat today. I open tuna and eat half of it one day, something else for lunch the next day and the other half I eat on the 3rd day. I am a big tuna eater and I have noticed that the brine one goes off quicker than the ones in oil (and has a distinctive off smell that you could not miss) ...wondering if this is noticed by anybody else.
