Box of muesli cereal - can I make anything interesting with it?

It's ok-ish but I don't like it as much as the one I bought last time, so it's not being eaten.

Any muesli recipes out there please, so it doesn't get wasted?

I wondered about a flapjack type thing perhaps?

Delia has a flapjack recipe using muesli in her 'One Is Fun' or somesuch title. Unfortunately I gave it to a charity shop about ten years ago. It was a nice recipe though so maybe worth a google?

Ah! Thanks Janeite. Off to Google.

You have an excellent memory to recall a recipe in a book from years ago! I'm v impressed

Have you tried mixing it with yogurt and chopped fruit for breakfast instead of just with milk? Maybe that could make it more appetising.

I think I could plough through it eventually. But in reality I know it's going to lurk about because it's not too nice.

There's something about the bits in it; they're too sharp and hard work.

It does have flapjack potential though. Add enough syrup and anything goes down.

I use a sort of half-and-half muesli and crumble topping for fruit crumbles

Or make biscuits

janeite · 15/04/2009 20:22

Ooh putting it in crumble is a v good idea.

TsarChasm · 15/04/2009 20:41

Yes that's a good one! Thanks MP
