What do you buy in a 'normal' shop?

I'm still struggling with cutting my food budget down so just wondered what would be on other people's lists, see if I can get any inspiration from them.

TIA if you have time to help

"I deliberately don't meal plan. "

Neither do I for exactly the same reason. That's why I love shopping online monthly. I can look at the offers and have the time to plan them round what I have in, looking up new recipes if needs be to make the most of them.

I will admit I hate it, it's tedious and boring but we eat really well and it is worth it.
