Was also going to say make a curry.
You could chop the chicken into small pieces and pad it out with pots/frozen spinach any veg really.
If you make a creamy thick sauce it will make it seem to go further.

A tin of tomatoes and some courgette, onion and mushroom over pasta or rice and you'd be fine.

Or you can do a stovetop chicken casserole with everything in and bulk it up with red lentils if you are worried about the protein.

I would do two breasts for that amount of people so they should count themselves lucky

Then why not pasta or casserole as giant suggests.
If doing pasta then making it into a bake is nice, with lots of cheese on top (also makes it more filling).

right, just fry off your onions, then your chicken in pieces, then chuck in some seasoning/herbs/garlic. Then whatever veg you have in same sized chunks - so carrot, sweet potato, potato, leeks, courgette, mushrooms etc then some white wine if you have it, a stock cube if you are that way inclined (not really necessary though) and boiling water then boil and simmer for about 40 minutes. Chuck in the lentils as well if you want - they will need 30mins. If they go in it will probably need skimming for impurites as well once it boils.

Apologies if you know full well how to bung together a casserole on the hob...
