I am just about to run a search on fudge because I am sure there have been threads. I particularly want a recipe that does not call for thermometers.
Will post any I find.

southeastastra · 11/04/2009 14:49

can't you just buy them and pretend

i've asked for fudge recipes on here and they sound so complicated that i haven't bothered

Coconut Ice

Easy Fudge

Sorry, I haven't tried either of those but I have made some chocolate fudge for which I can't find the recipe at the moment. I shall keep looking.

This looks like a nice and easy one for coconut ice. From memory though, go very easy on the red food colouring if you're going for the pink and white effect!!

Peppermint creams are meant to be easy.

I am rushed off my feet learing my hundreds of lines and stuff for this play so forgive for not googling or going to the libary.

I am after about 4 different types of sweets that i can make a batch of each to hand round, so i have fudge/coconut ice/ peppermint creams and...............?

Treacle toffee is pretty easy and delicious.

here

Don't worry about temperatures. Boil it until a bit dripped off a spoon into a saucer or bowl of cold water forms a soft chewy droplet/ball.

micku5 · 11/04/2009 16:08

I made this recipe for coconut ice. Very easy.

Its about a Womens Institute who are putting on a play, so i am one of the women from the group, a spoilt bratty daughter (early 20's) and an elderly lady from Yorkshire.

Thanks for the recipes everyone.
