All I have is a microwave what puds or cakes can i make?

Bit of an on-going cooker problem means that I'm starting week three of just having a microwave and single burner camping stove to cater for a family of 4 with.

Mains don't seem to be a problem (stir fries, pasta & sauce, cous cous, jacket spuds, fish) but we are missing our puddings and cakes. I usually bake all our cakes and puddings as we are on a fairly tight budget.

Is it possible to bake cakes etc in a microwave?

Have you tried the cake in a mug on mn recipes? It is all done in the microwave

I tried it last week and it was delicious

there is a cake you make, ontop of fruit/jam - just bung it all in microwave.

I put a large dollop of chocolate and hazelnut spread in ours and was fabtastic

Syrup sponge is fab in microwave - loads a moderate amount of golden syrup in a bowl, sponge cake mix on top and cover in pierced cling film. Needs less cooking than you'd expect so watch through the door. Wonder if gone 11 is too late for pudding....

I noticed this fast lemon pudding recently but haven't tried it yet. If you go down the page there is another idea to make it a choc pud instead.

if you have a fridge then you can make really yummy cakes with almost any combination of broken or crushed biscuits and chocolate bars melted in the microwave.
