I have heard of people cooking meals in advance and freezing them and wanted some advice from some experts out there!!

I've never tried cooking in bulk and freezing, didn't know how safe etc it was

I am planning to cook a couple of moussakas. Do i cook them 'oven ready'. white sauce and all?

How do i freeze them? I have the cooking dishes i would use for the oven but don't know what i would cover them with! Sorry for all the questions, complete novice here!

Although some cooking dishes are freezable, it does take away from your cooking utensils so I wouldn't do that. Rather buy some tupperwares in appropriate sizes and use those.

When freezing, ensure the food is completely cool before putting in freezer.

Most things can be frozen - especially meat casseroles etc. I'd freeze with the cheese sauce of a moussaka, yes. Some cooked vegetables don't freeze so well. Soups, especially if you've blended them tend to freeze excellently. Best way to defrost is to take it out the night before and leave in the fridge.
