Can you find me the very best small chocolate easter egg?

I'm trying to lose the lard, and figure i can cut my gains by enjoying one, and only one, choc egg this year. Thing is, i want it to be the finest egg i can find. I want it to be real chocolate, bitter and intoxicating, so that the memory will last me through the hell of half price eggs at the supermarket. I like green and blacks, but I want something a little more special, so that i won't go looking for more.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

How about you make your own with your favourite bar of chocolate? That way you get to lick the bowl and eat the egg and know that you've not had too much?

I've just made an egg for the DC and had to quickly put the bowl in teh washing up water to stop me licking it

That's a very lovely suggestion, easterchickfordinner. And it sounds like a lot of fun!

I've never done that before, and will do it in the future, but not this year. Two days ago, an army of ants invaded the kitchen, so i'm doing minimal food prep atm as they seem to smell food at 20 metres and come marching out to see if it's anything worth their while. And chocolate surely would be.

What about this one

MaryAnnSailors · 08/04/2009 13:20

Now that's plenty to be getting on with!

I want to keep away from all those eggs that come along with truffles etc... so that narrows it down a little.

The chocolate alchemist 73% cocoa could be a winner. That would wake me up on Sunday morning!

Thanks oysterpots and Blue Champagne!
