Has anybody got a good receipe for marble cake? (without chocolate)

I'm making a marble cake without chocolate, and can't think of any flavours that go without chocolate. I need the contrasting colours too, so that it still looks like a marble cake. Any ideas???

coffee?

Do you think the chocolate could be replaced with the same amount of made-up coffee? And keep the vanilla?

This request is for DD - she makes the most wicked marble cake, and is having a sleepover tomorrow (eek! 6 teenaged girls in the house!) but one of the girls is off chocolate till Sunday.

How about just adding some red food dye to make a pink lot of cake batter and then marble it? Won't taste different but might look nice?

Well, she's made pink and white muffins instead, and they look good, she says they taste great (well, she would!)
