is ocado more expensive than tesco?

Yes, a lot more. I don't know what it is in percentage terms but you really notice how little you get for your money with Ocado.
They are v good though - high quality and good service - but you do pay for it.

Some Ocado products cost the same as Tesco's, and they flag it up on the site with a little comment, something like 'Tesco price match'. However, all this does for me is to emphasize how much more expensive all the other products must be...

Having said that, Ocado is so good for customer service and delivery, and if you're canny and make the most of the voucher deals and discounts they constantly email, you can get a reasonable value shop.

try mysupermarket.co.uk
you can do you shopping and it calculates the cost at all the big supermarkets and then it transfers you to the supermarket you choose etc - it's great.

It showed me basket was 85 pounds at tescos, 96 at asda, 115 at ocados and 126 at sainsburys.
I am such a geek but it is a great site.
