Is it a lost cause without gas?

We live off stir fries. Is there any reason you think it makes a difference if you have a gas or electric oven?

Well woks are designed for gas only

Stir fires or stir fries
We use our wok for cooking EVERYTHING from chilli to curry and stir fry - and we have an electric hob. No worries (unless it has a wonky round bottom)

Works fine if you get a decent wok designed for the type of hob you have (electric, induction etc), ime. Hopeless otherwise. No gas here and I have stir fries several times a week.

Mine is not, I don't think. It works perfectly fine on my electric oven and always has done. I didn't know that. Do you mean coz they wobble? You can buy stands to steady them you know.

Or you can get a cheapy one from IKEA and replace every 2 years when the non stick falls off
