This morning I left my DS2 (10 months) downstairs and on the loose for about two minutes. When I came back down I found him beside the cat dish helping himself to some chicken IAMS!

I assume this wouldn't have done him any great harm but find it hard to understand how he can eat this then turn his nose up at something I have spent hours lovingly preparing.

Does anyone else have a child with odd tastes?

Not in those quantities, I hope, Slug!! My friend said she couldn't bring herself to kiss her DN for a while afterwards, lol.

What a classic story. I can't imagine anything topping that.

These are great! Sand and glue are favourites in my house but I fear these pale into insignificance next to pig semen!

I have made at least three people at work want to heave today Suedonim, by repeating your story.

A friend teethed on Bonio dog biscuits.

How can anyone following pig semen?..........

Not revolting, just wierd...I loved cruching coffee beans - dark roast - as a tot.
Also ate a worm once!
Oh and drank a full bottle of calamine lotion threw it all up and denied everything when mum asked what I had drunk on inspection of bright pink sick!!!!!

DD (10 mths)has attempted to eat in the past week the following:
magnolia/tulip/daffodil petals
shopping list
fluff from 'Woolly's Walk' book
dog hair - I have to stop her licking the dog!!
thai chilli pepper that fell on the floor during chopping (potential A and E incident I think !!)

DebL · 17/04/2003 23:23

please excuse poor grammar...two glasses of chardonnay..

When I feed our chickens ds crawls out the back door and eats the seed - and, of course, an occasional bit of chicken poo! Not as bad as the last agricultural story - yeeeeeuuuuch!

Yes I agree Suedonim's friend definately wins! Yuk!!! Still plent of Zinc (or I think that's what's in it anyway)!

My DS2 is still heading straight for the cat food at every opportunity. Also DS1 (four) was in the bath with DS2, DS2 stood up and pee'd in the bath, DS1 announced how disgusting it was to pee in his bath etc, etc then prompty scooped up a cup full of the water and drank it.

Maybe this is an idea for Mumsnet's next book, perhaps they could call it - Baby and Toddler Feeding Solutions.

Anyway glad to hear it's not just us and thankyou all for the laugh.

Thanks for the accolade, Demented and also for starting the thread.

Bobbins, LOL - I think it's a story that deserves as wide an audience as possible!
