A few times we've been going out, I've heated the babies food at home, wrapped the container in foil and then given it to them an hour later - haven't poisoned either of them.

Today, we need to leave here at 9.30 and they won't get lunch til around 1pm. Something tells me that doing my heating trick and leaving a 3.5hr gap before lunch is not a good idea. Don't want to breed heaven knows what type of bacteria and give them tummy ache.

What does anyone think? Shall/can I do it or not?

TIA

how old is your baby?
could you give finger food for lunch and give hot meal for dinner tonight when you are home?

compo · 04/04/2009 09:00

or just give the baby a bit of what your eating off your plate?

I wouldn't do it. I would just take finger food or a jar of babyfood.

Blast - thought as much! Probably taking two older boys to McD's so won't be able to get their food reheated. Girls don't really do a full meal of finger food - they're 10 months and I need to get them going on it. Shall muddle along with bread & banana and do a quasi sandwich I think. Thanks!

If you have a flask, you could take some boiling water & by the time you need it, it should still be hot enough to warm dinner through.

I realise I'm a bit late posting to be helpful now, just thought it may help in the future
