Do you sprinkle or grind your salt and pepper?

I've just bought my friend the cutest salt and pepper pots and a kitchen timer for her birthday. She's a real foodie, loves cooking (and eating ) and has just had a lovely new kitchen fitted. It's just occured to me that perhaps she only uses rock salt and pepper corns and these won't be much use.

Would you use them?

I would use them for every day use yes, although we have grinders at the moment!
