How long afterr delivery do they take the money off. I got shopping delivered on Sunday, they arrived with no print off and said thhey were late because the computer was down, so far they have not come in for the money. Is this normal????

I'm pretty sure that Asda don't give you any money off for being late. Tesco don't either. I think it's just Sainsbury and Ocado who do.

No sorry, I didnt put that very well, they havent been in to my bank and collected my money. Is it normal for it to take thiss long.

I don't know about Asda but usually with online deliveries they take the money the day they deliver.

I guess if the computer was down then they couldn't tell the computer what you had been delivered on the day so it couldn't be billed then.

Are you worried that they'll take it later in the month when you don't have any money? Or are you just hoping that they will forget entirely/.

ah, now I understand. Personally, I'd ignore the fact that they haven't charged you

I had my months shopping delivered 3 weeks ago & they still haven't taken the money for it! It's just sat in my bank account tempting me to spend it

It showed up the day before as having come out of the account, but now has completely disappeared off my online banking altogether

Gutted! It's always nice to have something like that happen, I'm just hoping they don't take 2 payments when I order for the next 4 weeks next Friday iyswim?

Actually, I'm thinking about trying Tesco for the next couple, just to avoid alerting them to the fact they've not taken the money yet

Just seen this thread... I used Asda for ages, with no problems, but had LOADS of problems with them recently.Taking AGES for the money to come out, then for one delivery they rang to say my card hadnt gone through....rang bank, card and account fine... rang Adsa back ... they tried again, said it still wouldnt go through....LOTS of calls to overseas call centre later(which took over an hour whilst DC were crying!)... they tried to put it through 5 times!! still couldnt get it through...told them I was not happy. I still got the shopping, BUT the bank then cancelled my card cause Asda had tried so many times it was flagged up as a stolen card...so had to get new card...[bangy]
2 months later they STILL hadnt taken the money (which I had transferred to seperate account to make sure I didnt spend LOL) and they rang me up demanding payment!!
Now use tesco - much better. wouldnt trust asda any more!
