I prefer fresh full stop.

I but 6pts every 3 days of full fat for the DCs (4,3 and 1yr old) and 4pts of 1% fat milk for me and DH every 4 days or so.

I really hate the idea of "warm" milk!

but its sits in cartons on the shelf for i dont know how long etc.... nah, not for me!!

Is it any cheaper than fresh?

The only tastes ive had of long life milk are those little pull tab lidded ones you get in hotels for your cuppa!

Oh, long-life is vile. Why would anyone drink it when they don't need to?

I keep long life in the cupboard as a 'just in case' but try to mostly use fresh milk
we have 3 pints skimmed and 4 pints full fat delivered every other day by the milkman which is just right and we only need to dip into the long life when we have lots of visitors!
look up your local milkman!

mothersmilk · 01/04/2009 11:17

i cant taste the difference myself was just wondering if there was any real reason my dc's shouldnt have it
