There's a new one ordered but won't arrive until next week some time. I don't have time go go tripping up and down to the shop every day for meat so need some ideas for tasty vegetarian meals. I'm so used to cooking with meat all I can think of is pasta or stir-fry.

Lentil recipes would be good as I still want my 17mo to be getting his iron and I have loads in the cupboard.

Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

DD loves lentils - I do them with potato, parsnip. Cook them all together in stock, mash them up. You can add some spices/herbs etc. if you want

She also loves tinned salmon, with mashed pots, peas (tinned ?) and cheese sauce

Wouldn't have thought about using tinned salmon for some reason. I love fishcakes.

Vegetable curry sounds good. I have never ever made a lentil casserole giantkatestacks but will have to give it a go. Very rarely cook with lenils as dh is a complete meat eater.

Kind of glad I'll be able to wean him off his red meat for a couple of days.

Thanks for the suggestions
