My garndad has had a stroke and is having trouble swallowing and is losing loads of weight. The Dr has suggested making smooth deserts in an effort to help build him up so does anyone have easy recipes for panna cotta or creme caramel please?
Thank you

Creme Caramel from some 1970's MIlk board cookbook.

4 oz sugar
1 gill water....1 youghurt pot size(told you it was on old recipe)

Boil until you get a deep caramel colour, then pour into bottom of a warmed dish and swill around.
(watch out the caramel is dam hot, my mum spent one xmas evev in hospital with burnt fingers because of this recipe)

4 Eggs
1 oz sugar
3/4 pint of milk

Beat together and pour on top of caramel.
Put dish in a bain marie of warm water and bake for 35 mins...i guess 170-150 degrees, mum had an aga so no idea of temerature. Or until set.
Leave to cool and voila turn out.
