Make the bolaganse, make a lasagane and then leave it on the side and cook it later?

I want to get ti ready before work and then DH can just pop it in the oven to bake for him and dd when they want dinner

I'll reheat mine later when I finish

yes, that's what I do

shinyshoes · 24/03/2009 12:36

Yeah fine, no problem with that whatsoever. Some people actually make a lasagne the day before

belgo · 24/03/2009 12:36

as long as they heat it through to piping hot

I would leave it in the oven so it is protected and clean.

You can't put it in the fridge if the sauce is hot and it will take a while for that to cool down. As long as he cooks it really well then I would be fine with it - mind you I will probably be flamed now for exposing your dc to some dangerous bug or other

Its Jamies MOF so its a cheats white sauce

Thats intresting to know you can make it the day before, would you store it in the fridge?

Yes, you can also freeze it in portions - which is my current trick!

KingCanuteIAm · 24/03/2009 12:42

(of course that is after it has been fully cooked!)

HarmOkne · 24/03/2009 12:47

So you could make it and leave it unbaked in the fridge?

If it has cooled properly then I would think yes!
