Does this need to be in the fridge?

I made bolognese sauce at 9.00 this morning and then went shopping leaving it to cool on the side.

Do I need to decant it into something to put in the fridge, or will it be OK to leave out as we are going to eat it tonight?

PS But was planning on whizzing up remains to freeze for DD

Depends on how cold your kitchen is really. I could get away with it, but kitchen is coldest room in our house.

Put it in fridge to be on sfe side.

If it's now cold, i would put it in the fridge, until i wanted to eat it.

As some of it's going to be frozen I would put it in the fridge; otherwise I'd say leave it out though, we often do.

As it is meat I would put it in the fridge until you want to heat it up.

it should be in the fridge. I see if I can fit it in in its pan (that's a weird sentence) rather than decant it - just less hassle/washing up

Put it in a fridge with a plate or lid over cling film over to stop bacteria falling in to it.

I have a sudden image of bacteria doing triple somersaults and dives into the uncovered spag bog sauce!

OK. Will stop faffing MNing and stick it in the fridge!
