Dh returned from farmers' market with a pack of meat he said was mixed game - he said he 'thinks' its rabbit/venison/pheasant. So I have bunged it into the slow cooker along with:
Leeks
Onions
Carrots
Garlic
Bay leaf
Red wine
Beef stock
Dried thyme
Salt + pepper.
What else do you think would be nice to add to it? I wondered about butter beans....
