How to save this stew?

I've made a stew with guinness and caramelised onions, It's lovely but the guinness is a little overpowering.

How can I reduce the taste of alcohol in the stew? Sugar, tomato puree etc? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

TIA.

you need to cook it for longer, but then you may have even eaten it by now!! if it still tastes alcoholic you haven't cooked it long enough. But i would go for the sugar route if it is bitter.

It's cooked for 4 hours at 150.

We aren't eating it until tomorrow so there's still time to save it, perhaps we should increase the temperature, and if that doesn't work, then we'll try the sugar.

that should have cooked the alcohol off by now, good luck - go with the sugar, but if its anything like my casserole disasters of late - make sure you have something on standby!
