Riverford events

We get a Riverford veg box and their website advertises various events - Pick and Cook days for children, tractor tours etc. They're quite expensive, so wondered if anyone had been and could give me their views?

DH and I have been on a farm visit followed by a meal in the "field kitchen" (cafe...)(we don't have a veg box but the farm was on the way to our holiday in Cornwall a couple of years ago - before our DD was born).I booked the visit to Riverford as a surprise part of the holiday.

I can't remember how expensive it was, but we both really enjoyed it and the food in their was delicious (and plentiful). We didn't have any children then and didn't feel too much like wallies going round the fields on the farm visit - it was definitely aimed at adults as well as children. We both enjoyed the ride in the tractor trailer which took you to the fields!! The meal was really nice, although as their website says, very informal (you sit on benches with other people). Might be a fun thing to do if you are in the area, as a treat?

We're going down that way at Easter and in the summer, so thought we might do the same thanks Wigeon. Anyone else?
