I got this for my mum for mothers day and tbh I am tempted to keep it, really practical every day recipes and NONE with fennel( that I can see!).

I haev had a shufty at his restaurant menu too

what sort of stuff does it have in it?

I gathered that, I meant, what kind of recipes does it have in it?

right sorry, it has loads of sustainable unheard of types of fish too as well as the old faves

for eg
cod, ( its listed by fish type rahter helpfully)
there is
roasted cod wiht rocket and anchovy vinaigrette
grilled cod wiht caper and avocado butter( loks like a face pack!)
cod in parsely sauce with buttered sproing cabbage

fried snapper wiht sweet chilli sauce
greek style red mullet
oh shit htere IS fennel in it - sea bass wiht fennel and white wine

also some seafood ones

at looks like a face pack!! the roasted cod sounds tasty, shame I decided on a roast cooked by my oh (helped by the lo ) tomorrow since we're not doing anything much for the day

Like the sound of the snapper wth sweet chilli sauce as well

I never get more adventurous than fish pie or thai red king prawn curry

oooh & I have some fish in for this week! I may try your way Reality, what do you have with it? Is it nice with plain old rice?

ooh, Rhubarb, that sounds nasty! The lo doesn't like it anyway unless it's a fishcake from the chippy so is usually just for us.

I'm rather taken with the idea of some spriong cabbage a la senortoucan.

Sounds so much more lively than the usual sort
