What do you have for lunch?

DH and I have lunch together at home nearly every day. We also tend to have exactly the same thing... cheddar or salami sandwiches. We're getting a bit bored of it.

So, what do you make for lunch? Inspire me please!

i make a batch of soup at the weekend to last me during the week. faves are:

lentil and bacon
carrot and coriander
roasted tomato and sweet pepper

otherwise will have a pitta bread stuffed with tuna and sweetcorn mayo, or hoummous

the boys have sandwiches (ham, chicken, cheese, salami, pate, houmous... on bread / rolls / pitta / wraps) and bits of raw veg e.g. carrots, cucumber, olives, peppers etc.

or sometimes pasta with some sort of veg based sauce or pesto & cheese

occasionally beans on toast or scrambled egg

or

we say sod it and buy sausage rolls from the bakers

I vary between having more or less the same as them, or some days I just have loads of fruit, or other days muesli or toast & peanut butter, depending on how healthy / hassled I am!!

Today I had toast and marmite
At work I have soup
At home
scrambled eggs
beans on toast
cheese on toast
sardines on toast

I cannot believe some of you have cerel and youghart, I would be starving.

I have pasta, sandwiches or left overs from the night before, like pasta or risotto. Or go out for lunch and have something fattening like cibatta.

Dont know why I saud cerel I meant fruit???

i'm drooling, all i get is a slimfast bar.
