Stuck to high chair!!

Anybody reccommend a plate / dish / system that will keep a bowl on DS's highchair?

He wants to feed himself but his bowl keeps going over his head, over me or over his sister who is not impressed!

the highchair tray?

Then there's no bowl/plate or whatever to get launched, just food

We tried some bowls with sucker type things on them for a while (like those that keep sun blinds on car windows) but they don't stick very well imo & our lo still managed to launch her bowls/plates. Think it's just something they have to grow out of

I'm Lucy's mam too yeah - I might just pop his food on the high chair tray..am sure some will get in his tum!!

He won't let himself go hungry! The highchair tray is easier, or maybe sitting at a little table would help if he's big enough.

We got a little one from Woolies (obviously couldn't get them there any more!) for £3 with 2 chairs that our lo has used since about 14mo or so with our supervision. She threw/throws food about less when sat at a proper table than sat in highchair.

He's nearly 1, so not quite ready to sit at a wee table, but good idea.. wonder if his big sister will be willing to share LOL

The bowls with suckers are just viewed as a challenge by any good plate-thrower (and they won't stick to wooden surfaces at all)

I agree - dispense with the plate entirely for the moment.

Agree with everyone else, my dd2 spends more time trying to get the bowl off the sucker thingy than actually eating the food in the bowl so it's just a distraction! Tried various bowls with sucker attached with dd1, none worked, and have tried the Tommee Tippee mat thingy with dd2, she not only gets the bowl off the sucker but then gets the mat off the table too. Carnage. So, yes, just use the high chair tray!
