Are they any good? Do you get enough for a week? Do you have any recommendations?

I have just realised how much I spend on the same old stuff at Tesco....

I get one from Riverford Organic - £9.65 for a fruit box and £12.95 for a Small Favourites veg box and it's really good - there are 3 of us and the fruit is probably too much for us in one week, I tend to find myself making crumbles or muffins with the apples/pears at the end of the week, but it's lovely stuff and it's encouraged DD to eat more of it as it's there readily available - if she moans she's hungry I tell her to go and choose a piece of fruit, which she likes doing for herself (she's just turned 4).

A normal week will have apples, bananas, pears, oranges/clementines and then they'll chuck in their 'fruit of the week' - we've had grapes, a pineapple, kiwi fruit, pink grapefruit and strawberries in the summer. All lovely quality, but I have found the citrus fruit does go off quicker than the supermarket stuff (but we tend to eat or juice that first!).

The veg box is similar, the one we get will always have potatoes, carrots and onions in it, then 2 types of greens and salad veg, then something like mushrooms or peppers too.

We also get a meat box every 3 weeks - it's saved me a fortune on impulse buying in the supermarket.

Another recommendation for Riverford. Small veg box for £10.85 and a fruit box for £9.65. We sometimes struggle to finish the fruit - but probably says more about us not eating as much fruit as we should. There are 2 of us and our dd is 19 months. Quality of the food is great as is service - if I forget to order in time my local supplier will accept a panicked email - and I think it is very good value - much cheaper than Abel and Cole.
