Whole chicken in a slow cooker

Can I? I have one of M&S's stuffed chickens in the freezer which I would do tomorrow if I could be arsed had time but sticking it in the slow cooker would give me time. So can I and what do I put in with it?

Does noone else have the problem that the BONES of the chicken also go soft? I hate accisdentally eating the bones along with the meat..

I rub the skin of the chicken with a blend of paprika, garlic powder, a tiny bit of cayenne, salt and pepper and put in on low for 6 hours. Comes out lovely!
But your recipe looks gorgeous, Nabster, I am adding this to my watch list!
