Have just made about twice as much dough as I need for tonight....can I wrap the rest in clingfilm and bung it in the freezer??

Yes, wrap it tightly in clingfilm. Keeps beautifully and defrosts pretty quickly too.

Yes

I am always freezing pastry dough or pizza dough or pasta dough and forgetting to label it.

I think my parents part-bake it and freeze it as a pizza base.

I think it defrosts quite slowly - well until it is room temperature enough to be able to knead and form into a pizzabase.

yep

I am thinking, if you have space in the freezer, the best thing would be to roll it out first so you don't have to faff around with waiting for a big lump to defrost and then doing all the rolling. Also you can bake it when it's not quite defrosted.

yes. i rolled mine into the right shape before i froze it. saved a bit of time the other end.
