bought a fridge pizza and kept in fridge for 4 days then put in freezer is it safe to eat?

Depends what the use by date is I suppose.

I think if its frozen before the use by, and then used as soon as it's defrosted, it should be OK. (as long as it hasn't been in the freezer for months, of course)

I reckon as long as it still had a day or so to go till the use-by date, when he froze it, it will be no problem. After all, you could have bought it from the shop just before the use-by date and then put it in the freezer "Qon the day of purchase" couldn't you?

Once something's been frozen, provided it wasn't off before, it will keep indefinitely. Most things can be kept in the freezer for ages - the recommendations for amount of time (3 months for meat etc) just refer to quality, they will continue to be safe to eat for years (literally) afterwards. Helpful link here from the US government, no less!
