Melt some chocolate in a ramekin type dish - chop up strawberries, bananas, grapes etc and get child to dip fruit in to yummy chocolate! Couldn't believe how much fruit my daughter ate!

Give them pure fruit smoothies to drink.

Puree fruit, add a little water or juice and pour into those ice lolly moulds for freezer. You can also mix in a small pot of fromage frais which makes lolly creamier. Delicious !

My kids would just lick the chocolate off the dipped items and reuse. Cunning little rats, they are...

Go to playground for hours with nothing on the buggy to eat except grapes, bananas, tangerines, apples, cherries (whatever is in season). You'd be amazed how much disappears into hungry tummies.

Put a fruit+veg bowl out at tea time and shrug off all clamouring for cereal/biscuits/milk, pointing at the fruit bowl instead. Eventually, little blighters will find something they deign to nibble on while waiting for proper tea to appear.

Fruit 'kebabs' for older toddlers - either mini ones on cocktail sticks or big ones on real kebab sticks....
