I need some for a recipe, and I found a box in my cupboard, unopened, but out of date.

Do you think it will still work / be safe to use?

I'd try it out personally. But, maybe halve or quarter the quantities of whatever you're making to experiment with, then make the whole lot. Like TBE, 'm not very observant of dde dates except for milk really & fresh meat
