I made ketchup!

Ran out of tomato ketchup and ds2 was not impressed as ds1 had ketchup and he didn't. Looked at the side of the bottle for ingredients, and mixed 2 tbsp tomato puree, 2 tsp maple syrup and a dash of white wine vinegar. Boys loved it and no E numbers.

Well done you - aren't you good? If we run out we just run out and that's that. Maple syrup?? Sounds odd - guess I've never read the ingredients label on the ketchup bottle before.

no, sparkler, it didn't say maple syrup it said sugar, but I thought maple syrup was a SLIGHTLY better ingredient than refined sugar.
