Sauce for Gnocchi - does this sound gross?

Going to try gnocchhi (sp??) for lunch for ds2 14 months.

He's not that keen on tom sauce and anything tom coloured normally gets chucked on the floor. So I was going to serve it mixed with a bit of Philly and with carrots and peas. Does this sound gross???

Anyone else have any ideas - if all fails I will be reaching for the cheese on toast

It doesn't sound gross!

Other ideas - with pesto, with a mushroomy sauce, with olive oil.

Sounds yum. Ds used to love gnocchi as a toddler. I just used to mix some grated cheese in with it so it melted, plus some butter. The gnocchi has a nice gentle flavour anyway so you don't want to mask it. Remember to cook it just for a minute or two or it will get v. soggy. It is quite filling and perfect finger food. Enjoy!

We usually just grate some cheese over it.

Or mix with a bit of pesto
yum. My kids both love it!

You can make a very quick cheese sauce for gnocchi by melting a little freshly grated parmesan in some double cream.
