SIL and nephew are coming for tea tomorrow. My 2 toddlers will eat most things, but toddler nephew is fussy (ie only eats meat or puddings!)

Any ideas? I'll only be getting home 30mins before they due to arrive aswell, just to make things more awkward!

I would call your sil and ask here what she suggests.

only meat or puddings? that doesnt give you many options!!

will he not eat pasta or a jacket potato?

GoodGrrrlGoneBad · 05/03/2009 10:41

she'd probably suggest meat or puddings! She doesn't really try to offer him anything he's rejected once already.

i was thinking i'd make a well rounded meal, that had meat in / with it, and if that's all he eats, then that's all he eats. Or is that just mean?

That sounds perfect. Thats what I'd do too I think.

Your idea of a well balanced meal sounds good. Something "traditional" like meat and two veg plus potatoes. Then SIL can choose what to give to her son and you can give your dc what you like.

Would he eat a meat pie with chips and peas?

ilovespinach · 05/03/2009 10:44

a little buffet with cold slices of meat, cheese, rolls, toms etc ?

GoodGrrrlGoneBad · 05/03/2009 10:44

perhaps i'll make a big pot of vegetable pasta tonight ready for tomorrow. Just need to decide what to put with it now...

ilovespinach- i did that last time, so i thought i'd be a bit more adventurous this time.

And he won't eat carrots or tomatoes.
