I have a recipe with dates, other dried fruit, oats, etc. No honey, spices or nuts as far as i remember, so should be fine for all ages.
Just need to find the recipe in my notebook!
Shall post it later today.

I was wrong, it has all those things in it!
But in small amounts, so i guess they can be easily omitted/substituted. Use more oats and fruit instead of nuts or probably use rice puffs etc. Add some sugar/golden syrup instead of honey or just skip honey altogether.

Cereal bars
makes 16-18 bars

1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins
200 gr stone-out dates
200 gr any other dried fruit (berries/cherries/appricots/pears/mangoes etc)
100 gr walnuts/cashew nuts
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon
50 gr apple juice
1 tbsp oil for greasing

Put dates in a bowl and add 1/2 cup water, leave for half an hour. Add honey then pulp (together with liquid) to get a paste.

Soak raisins in water for 10 minutes, pat dry.
Spread oats evenly on a baking sheet and put in oven for 12 minutes at 170C

Crush nuts, chop berries and other dried fruit if needed. Add oats and raisins.

Put dates paste with apple juice and cinnamon on a hob, bring to boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
Cool and mix with oats/nuts/fruit mixture.

Evenly spread the mixture on baking tray covered with greased baking paper and bake for 30 minutes at 170C.
Leave to cool and cut in rectangles.

Any questions - let me know!
