Hi everyone - I have a DS (13 months) who is ravenous ALL of the time. His appetite seems to be of the grazing type because he doesn't eat a huge amount at meal times but would like to snack all day (and breastfeed all night). We have spent a few months trying to limit his snacks to improve his mealtime eating but it isn't working, is making him very grumpy, and means he is waking hungry for milk every couple of hours in the night (I know he SHOULDN'T be hungry, but he is).

So - I am now looking for inspiration for snack foods. His repertoire at the moment is pear/banana/grape/organix crisps/rice cakes/Shreddies (yawn, yawn). He is CMP intolerant and whilst we are reintroducing some dairy quite successfully at the moment he can't have cheese/yoghurt as a snack.

Can anyone help to liven this up - especially finger foods that are not too messy to eat.
Many thanks in advance,
Sam

Raisins
Dry cheerios
malted milk biscuits (not sure if they are ok with CMP?!)

and all of what you are already giving him!

My dd1 was a bit of a snacker, I used to give her

chunks of banana bread
chunks of cold veggy sausage
chopped up dried apricots
carrot sticks
homemade cheesy biscuits
strawberries
oat cakes

if I can remember any more, I'll add!
