What is your best No Cook Playdough Recipe?

I tend to use this one:

1/2 cup of salt
1 cup of flour
1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
1 tablespoon of oil
1 cup of boiling water (with food colouring added)

Is this the same as your recipe... or do you have one that seems better?

What have you added to playdough? Glitter, Lavender oil for example?

I use the same roughly, but I think mine is double everything but the same amount of salt as yours. I always cook it though, even with boiling water. It cooks very quickly, is smoother, and lasts longer I think.

I put in glitter, peppermint, lavender (oil, or flowers headfs crushed up - but it doesn't last very long), ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, orange oil, lemon oil.

I ususally make 2 colours (add the food dye as I knead it smooth), but make sure its two colours that combine well, eg blue and yellow, so when the kids mix them they get green, not some foul puke colour.
