Can I use creme fraiche instead of double cream?

I'm cooking a creamy sauce for dinner tonight which uses double cream, but stupidly forgot to buy it. I don't want to fight my way through Tesco's for a lousy tub of cream so can I use creme fraiche instead?

Yes, I always use creme fraiche instead of double cream! Alot less fattening lol!

Thanks mishymoo. Do I use the same quantity?

Use the same quantity. I always use Creme Fraiche or low fat Creme Fraiche rather than double cream.

Cheers. I shall toast you both over a lovely glass of red wine this evening!
