Have invited friends (grown up) over for pancake meal tomorrow night. Obviously will be having lemon, brown sugar and ice cream for pud. What can I do for "main course" pancakes?

wilted spinach and riccotta or
bolognese sauce, then wrapped in an oven dish with cheese on top

Ooh pancakes followed by pancakes! Will you be having a pancake starter too?

Cheese Ham, Spinach Ricotta, mmm can't think of any more at the moment. I've only ever eaten sweet ones!

I had some mushroom korma pancakes at a veggie friend's house they were lovely. Basically mushrooms cooked in a korma sauce and put into the pancake and topped with chives and herbs.

Marmite and grated cheddar. Honestly, it's lush!

I'm more of a sweet pancake person but salmon and cream cheese is good. Friends I know used to have them with asparagus or something, probably also with cream cheese (I didn't even try them, going straight for the maple syrup option!).

Ever since I was a kid, I've had grated cheese, bits of pepperami, sliced olives, mixed herbs and tomato sauce in mine. I suppose I should make it a bit more adult and trendy by changing the pepperami to chorizo and the cheddar to buffalo mozzarella, but it just wouldn't be the same.

You've got to try it - it's divine!

Just realised you want a dinner party option - perhaps the change to chorizo and buffalo mozzarella would be more appropriate after all!

Thanks for your ideas ladies - Love the idea of your "pizza" pancake WibblyPig

SO far I have made -
Mushroom Stroganoff - like the mushroom korma.I'll serve that with grated cheese, thanks samsonara and bluebump
Chocolate sauce, by randomly flinging brandy chocolate, golden syrup and butter in a pan. Is yummy. I'll get bananas too.
Then the trad lemon and sugar.
Might also make some veg chilli.

I would say "dinner party" is pushing it a little - more like "chaotic meal, whilst feeding, changing and settling babies, with dads knackered from a day at work". Actually that make me sound very SAHM - it's only because I am still on mat leave!
