I have loads of double cream to use up. It use by date is 28-02-09

We don't eat enough puds to use it up on them by then so wondered if anyone has a nie creamy pasta sauce recipe I could make a big batch of & freeze for use at a later date for easy quick dinners/tea for the lo & us

Thanks

Hello chick! Just make some cheese sauces and subsitute some of the milk for cream. You could even add some cubes of bacon to turn it into carbonara sauces. Freezes perfectly.

cheers Maureen, will do that later tonight after the lo goes to bed. I didn't think of cheese sauces or carbonara sauces. They'll come in very handy with these 2!

Or you can make a cheese sauce and add with cooked spinach (from fresh or frozen). Whizz up in food processor for a tasty and vitamin packed pasta sauce. My lo's love it but wouldn't eat spinach normally
I freeze pasta sauces in ice cube trays (like you do for baby food) so you can defrost the right amount whether its just for the dc or the whole family.

thanks Bakers, I wouldn't normally have thought to use spinach
