I have finally bought a food processor and am desperate to try it out. I was going to make something with salmon today

Any ideas what I could make so that I can try out my shiny new toy?

salmon mouse?

Weegle · 20/02/2009 17:06

hmm, if you're keen on using salmon - fishcakes?

NorthernLurker · 20/02/2009 17:06

What happened to the salmon idea?

MaureenMLove · 20/02/2009 17:06

Ummm. Bread crumbs to top the salmon or pastry to wrap it in? Or a salsa to go with it?

Ivykaty44 · 20/02/2009 17:11

I made lemon drizzle cake in mine today I made banana bread on mine on Tueday

I still want to make salmon, but I want to use my new FP too. I was hoping someone would come up with a fab idea to to both.

Anyone make their own bread?

Yum at LDC. Might make that tomorrow.

Sorry - being thick! Thought you had a salmon plan and it had come to naught rather than you wanting a plan for said salmon

I know Nigella makes Danish pastry in hers - for breakfast tomorrow maybe?

MmeLindt · 20/02/2009 17:22

Hmmm, Danish pastry for breakfast. Sounds good.

Could I do some kind of pastry with salmon?

Sooo what did ya do??

MmeLindt · 21/02/2009 22:11

I made salmon pasta without the FP as I ran out of time but I will definitely try out the fishcake idea and pastry soon. I made bread today [getting carried away emoticon]

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have started scones off in mine and am about to do lemon drizzle cake.

It will revolutionise your pastry, I make Nigella's pastry which is all done in your processor.

Twinset
I made quiche the other day, it was the first time I had ever made the pasty myself, I normally buy the ready made stuff. I will go and look at Nigella's pastry.

Scones are on the list for this afternoon.

I have just put the bread in the oven and am feeling rather smug.

You are entitled to feel smug.
