cake disaster

In my sleep deprived state, I've knocked up a Victoria Sponge using plain flour, rather than SR. It's for a birthday, and I haven't got time to do another one. It's come out of the oven looking like two large chocolate cookies.

Do I:
(a) buy a cake?
(b) take them to the park and use as frisbees?
(c) sandwich them together with something nice and serve as a bit of a flat birthday cake? Will it taste nice?
(d) use them for some other dessert?

Ideas appreciated.

use as trifle sponges?

Try making it into a sort of black forest gateau - tin of black cherry pie filling, loads of whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. If it is for adults, drizzle the cakes with cherry liqueur

I think they will taste like cookies - cut up like cake and eat like cookies

Cook another cake quickly with SR flour

Summer pudding or a tiramisu type pudding?

Thanks for the ideas. Have frozen the frisbees for future puddings, and knocked out another, proper, cake after dinner.

Am clearly in need of more sleep - also peeled the potatoes and dropped the peel into the dish, the potatoes into the compost caddy. Sounds like I am trying to poison the family!
