How to ripen green bananas?

I have had a bunch of green bananas for 2 weeks now. They are showing no sign of ripening. Any idea how I can force them to ripen? Thanks.

Put them on a sunny windowsill or near an already ripe banana.

Poste too soon we had some eat me keep me ones that were green for ages, the windowsill did the trick.

Right, well, I was about to say that putting them near already ripe bananas has done nothing for them. I bought them as a pack of "eat me keep me" bananas and have since bought some more ripe ones when the original ripe ones ran out, and also sat them in the bowl with rotting baby oranges, apples, avocadoes, etc, but still nothing.

I will try a windowsill, but can't promise any sun!

Put them in a brown paper bag with a tomato in.
