Have you ever made bagels? The dough appears lumpy <anxious>

we've shaped the dough and left them to rise

It seemd a bit lumpy though

Never made them before, hope its normal!

I made bagels using Richard Bertinet's recipe I think. From what I remember the dough was very stiff, hard to work with but apparently its meant to be that way.

I can't find the book right now to check but they tasted okay, haven't done it again because it was a bit of a faff.
