Substitute for double cream.

I'm planning on making this recipe for dp and I tonight. I have everything it asks for but double cream.

I do have a tub of ricotta though. Would it work if I used a little of that instead?

I think you will get a good meal using ricotta - but it is quite thick. Do you have any creme fraiche or sour cream to thik it out?

ricotta is lumpy not smooth though
it will be tasty but very different

actually you could do it wihtout any cream at all and it;d still be nice
